The four-day course covered the technology and physics behind various ranges of d&b kit, including the Y series which Flair recently invested in (read about it here), the T series, the E series, and a comprehensive overview of Array Processing.
Before beginning the theory portion of the course, the Flair team received a full tour of the d&b factory to gain an understanding of how each speaker is manufactured, including carpentry, painting, quality control, and the logistical processes each piece of equipment undergoes.
The theory and practical elements of the course reinforced the crew’s understanding of the systems and provided them with additional techniques which can be applied to their audio designs on future projects.
Sameer Rahman, Flair’s Managing Partner, commented, “This training is in line with our annual summer of technical courses, which also include in-house video training, HSE recaps, rigging best practices, and business and sales courses. We look forward to implementing the techniques learned at the d&b headquarters in the new season.”
